Biography

I am an architect of a rather sui generis kind – or at least I like to think so.

Instead of designing for the pure love of architecture, I concentrate on imagining the impact my work has on people.

I began drawing to better visualise what I perceive in my mind, just as I enjoy writing because it helps me bring order to my thoughts.

I am energised by new ventures and entrepreneurial pursuits which, even when they falter or fade, always leave a lasting mark on my journey.

I came into the world that now defines me – and for which I am best known – almost by chance. There was no master plan or deliberate intention, but rather a gradual realisation that this sphere I had entered reflected who I was, unconsciously, and allowed me to express myself most fully.

For nearly thirty years, I have been seeking new ways to broaden my work, new places in which to operate, and new projects that can enhance people’s wellbeing through what I do best: designing, imagining, thinking.
